The purpose of the National Library Week is to highlight the role of books and libraries in the development of the society and the literacy of the younger generation. Since this Saturday is dedicated to the 150th anniversaries of Hovhannes Tumanyan and Komitas, the ANAU Library together with the Chair of Armenian and Foreign Languages organized a cognitive excursion to the Komitas Museum-Institute for the students of the ANAU General Education Program College on April 16.

The students of the school visited eight thematic halls of the museum, which reflected the life style of Komitas, his composing, musical, collective and performance activities in combination with traditional exhibits and contemporary technologies. Komitas's recordings were constantly being heard at the exhibition halls. This lets the audience deeply grasp the subconscious understanding and feel the greatness of Komitas art. After touring the museum-institute, singer Hasmik Baghdasaryan-Dolukhanyan performed at the Museum-institute hall for the faculty and students of ANAU.
